As a Principal Consultant in our Data Practice, youll lead complex client initiatives, guide teams through ambiguity, and connect technical implementation to business value. Youll serve as a trusted advisor and coachhelping clients see the path forward while building a high-performing team that grows through feedback, ownership, and shared wins.
What Youll Do
As a Principal Consultant, youll bring clarity to complexity and lead with influence:
Architect and implement modern data solutions for enterprise clients using cloud-native tools and scalable engineering practices.
Lead the development of strategic data initiatives, including warehousing, governance, ETL modernization, and cloud migration.
Serve as a trusted technical advisortranslating business needs into data architecture plans and implementation roadmaps.
Guide clients through ambiguity with a structured, collaborative mindset grounded in consultative leadership.
Mentor and coach consultants in both technical and consultative growth areas.
Engage in pre-sales and solution shapingbuilding relationships, framing delivery, estimating, and shaping UDigs approach.
Represent UDig in the market as a calm, credible expert with a bias for impact and partnership.
What You Bring
810+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, analytics, and governance across modern enterprise environments.
35+ years leading data teams and mentoring consultants in technical and professional growth.
Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), modern ETL/data tools (Databricks, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue), and data engineering best practices.
Strong consulting backgroundable to navigate client dynamics, coach others in consultative delivery, and support pre-sales efforts.
Excellent communication and executive presencewith the ability to influence at multiple levels and guide strategic decisions.
Proven problem-solving skills to guide the development of solutions for complex challenges.
Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, IT, MIS, Systems Engineering, data science or related field
