Maintenance Planner
Develops maintenance plans for assigned aircraft and associated equipment. Implements maintenance plans through the development and publication of maintenance schedules to include scheduled and unscheduled repair actions, time-sensitive inspections or modifications, component time change replacement and aircraft or system inspections. Develops preliminary operational schedules (utilization plans) and provides the Operations Group with an estimate of maintenance support capability to meet operational requirements. Develops and implements specialized aircraft generation plans for peacetime and/or contingency operations in concert with various maintenance activities and operations functions. Coordinates the implementation of the Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) Program, to include the implementation of individual TCTOs. Serves as Aircraft Vehicle Distribution Officer (AVDO) to include the overall responsibilities for the maintenance and reporting of aircraft inventory and status/utilization for all assigned aircraft. Assists maintenance analysis function in the maintenance of data programs/data bases specific to planning and scheduling functions, aircraft or equipment operational or historical records, and work order generation data. Functions as the Engine Tracking/Comprehensive Engine Management System (CEMS) Data Base Monitor and develops/recommends local engine management policy and procedures on applicable Technical Order and AFI guidance.
