The
role you'll contribute:
The Sterile Services Lead position is for an experienced Certified Sterile Processing Technician. Under supervision of the SPD (Sterile Processing Department) Supervisor / Manager, the Sterile Services Lead will serve as a shift lead and will run a shift independently when supervisors are not present. The position will assist, and monitor activities related to sterilization, decontamination, and disinfection for their assigned shift while promoting services and satisfaction through training, education, and resolution of instrument set and processes concerns of staff and physicians. The Sterile Services Lead assist Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Manager/ Supervisor in overseeing compliance with regulatory considerations. Participates in orientation of new hires, quality audits, and performance improvement activities for the department. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Monitors workflows in the decontamination, assembly, sterilization and inventory areas to ensure efficiency and completion of prioritized needs.
Serves as a resource for the staff and flexes into the staffing role to assist workflow as needed.
Maintains all work areas and equipment in a clean and organized condition to maintain required standards for the handling of sterilized and clean materials and equipment.
Ensures all required sterilization monitoring documentation is completed thoroughly and accurately.
Promotes a positive atmosphere within the work area and demonstrates the ability to cooperate and assist with fellow team members.
Ensures policies supporting the proper management (receipt, inspection, documentation and decontamination/sterilization) of loaner instrumentation are adhered to. Develops a professional rapport with vendors.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
High School Diploma or equivalent Required.

recent sterile processing experience Required.
Certification through HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) and Materials Management) (CRCST)
OR
CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) (CSPDT)
