The Company is seeking a Vice President and Deputy General Counsel to join their global legal team. The successful candidate will be a senior leader within the Office of the General Counsel, providing strategic and operational legal counsel on a wide range of issues, including legal, governance, policy, and organizational strategy. This role involves leading a diverse legal team and overseeing legal operations in collaboration with risk management. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) and an active license to practice law in the U.S., with a minimum of 15 years of legal experience, including leadership roles, and a strong background in nonprofit law, contracts, compliance, employment, and governance.
Key responsibilities for the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel include maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, acting as an advocate for child protection, and upholding the company's core cultural behaviors. The role also involves rendering legal analysis and guidance on various activities, serving as an active member of the General Counsel Office Leadership Team, and playing a critical role in communication, culture building, and change management. The candidate should have a proven track record of managing and developing a team of legal professionals, the ability to advise executive leadership and boards on complex legal matters, and a strong alignment with the company's mission and values. Global and nonprofit experience, particularly in cross-cultural or international legal contexts, is strongly preferred.
