SUMMARY
The
Biomedical Operations Manager (BOM)
is in charge of ensuring the repair and maintenance of dialysis equipment, overseeing physical plant upkeep, managing spare parts purchasing, and controlling inventory. The BOM supervises technical teams and programs within assigned dialysis units. Key Responsibilities Lead technical operations across multiple clinics, focusing on fiscal management, compliance, and growth to align with company objectives. Integrate personnel and equipment in newly acquired clinics. Oversee installations of dialysis and water-related equipment in new clinics. Analyze and optimize labor hours for maximum efficiency. Manage maintenance costs and trends to extend equipment lifespans. Ensure compliance with purchasing protocols and maintain adequate supply inventories. Meet financial targets, including budgets and labor costs. Quality Assurance Ensure equipment meets company policy, manufacturer specifications, and relevant standards and regulations. Maintain water systems in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements. Review technical incident reports and provide recommendations as needed. Work with staff to document equipment and water system maintenance effectively. Establish productivity goals and compliance processes aligned with company standards. Operational Standards Remain updated on federal, state, and local regulations. Perform tasks in accordance with company policies and legal standards. Understand safe operation of water treatment and related systems. Monitor and ensure a safe and sanitary environment within facilities. Address safety concerns that may impact staff and patient welfare. Oversee preventive maintenance programs and documentation. Team Collaboration Embrace and promote the company's mission regarding ethics, safety, and corporate responsibility. Maintain regular communication with regional management about clinic statuses. Coordinate with external vendors for major repairs and renovations. Present technical summaries in relevant meetings as required. Foster collaborative relationships with clinic administrators for effective support. Promote excellent customer service standards throughout the organization. Staff Development Ensure all technical staff meet qualifications and perform duties according to regulations. Recruit, train, and supervise technical personnel across clinics. Evaluate personnel performance and manage employee relations effectively. Provide ongoing training on equipment usage and maintenance. Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities. Foster a team-focused culture through effective communication and accountability. Qualifications/Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. 2+ years of experience in technical management within dialysis or medical environments. Familiarity with dialysis industry standards and regulations. Proven ability to manage maintenance and repairs of dialysis equipment. Strong leadership skills in dynamic environments. Ability to distinguish primary colors. Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Self-sufficient with strong project management skills across multiple locations. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and commitment to learn all technical applications required within the first 90 days of hire.
