Maintenance Pool Technician I ensure the safe and efficient operation of the resorts common areas and related amenities, including but not limited to pools, Jacuzzis, and water features! These assignments relate to a variety of trades that include but are not limited to carpentry, plumbing, painting, and masonry. Willing to train for this position! What Will I Be Doing: Conducting pool maintenance and ensuring the cleanliness of pool and public areas including unclogging drains, plumbing, repairing pool equipment (pumps, heaters, filters, and electrical switches), plumbing, painting, and surface repair Maintaining all tools and pool equipment to ensure all equipment is clean and in proper working order including ensuring the proper use and cleanliness of equipment and those tools are returned and secured in proper storage areas at the end of the shift. Connect with the supervisory team on needed supplies and tools. Monitor systems as vital to include emergency systems and have general familiarization with fire sprinklers and emergency power systems. Read, log track, and interpret readings from meters, gauges, and other pool equipment measuring systems. Maintain a detailed daily log of pool maintenance activity and to ensure that accurate information is communicated to the other pool technicians on the following shift. Ensure the safety and prevention of accidents in and around the pool areas for both Team Members and guests/owners and proactively correct any unsafe conditions. Other duties as assigned. What are we looking for? Obtain Pool Operator (CPO) certification within 180 days of hire ( company paid training ) Knowledge of pool chemical application and maintenance Proficient English language communication Able to bend, stoop, walk and lift 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 150 lbs. with or without accommodation Able to work in various weather conditions 1+year of maintenance experience, preferred High school diploma or equivalent Valid Drivers License It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: Prior experience in the hotel/timeshare industry CPO certification Why do team members like working for us: Day 1 Benefit Eligibility Competitive base pay Recognition Programs and Rewards Discounted travel programs 401(k) program with company match.
