It Systems Support Specialist

This role focuses on providing day-to-day operational support to ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of our systems infrastructure. The position involves supporting cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvements in system processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SQL, a strong understanding of ERP systems, and a passion for solving technical challenges in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Provide first-line support for ERP users across manufacturing, finance, inventory, and operations departments. Maintain and optimize the ERP database, including backups, performance tuning, and patch management. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze business requirements and configure ERP modules accordingly. Troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues, coordinating with Syspro support when necessary. Assist in ERP upgrades, module implementations, and integrations with other systems such as CRM, MES, and WMS. Deploy and manage applications in Docker containers, optimizing Docker configurations for development and production environments. Develop and maintain documentation for ERP configurations, workflows, and user training materials. Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal controls and industry regulations. Support reporting and data extraction needs using ERP tools and participate in cross-functional projects to enhance ERP functionality and business efficiency. Essential Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in a Systems Engineer, IT Operations, or similar role. Strong understanding of ERP workflows and modules in manufacturing, including BOMs, work orders, inventory, production planning, and General Ledger. Proven experience in database management with strong SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries, stored procedures, and perform performance tuning. Hands-on experience with ERP systems and integrating custom applications with ERP. Solid understanding of Windows and/or Linux server environments. Knowledge of reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or Power BI. Experience working with third-party IT vendors and managing vendor relationships. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration abilities with technical and non-technical teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with scripting languages. Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or AWS and hybrid environments. Experience with data integration tools and APIs. Experience with Syspro customization tools such as e.net Solutions and Workflow Services. Understanding of manufacturing processes and lean principles. Experience with system integrations and API usage. Work Environment: This position is based in a manufacturing facility and requires onsite presence from Monday to Friday. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $29.81 - $37.50/hr.
