The IT Technician IIII role provides technical support and contributes to the maintenance and improvement of Astiva Healths IT infrastructure. This is a tiered positionresponsibilities and expectations will be aligned with the individuals level of experience, skill, and expertise. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities (All Levels): Provide timely technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve IT service tickets; escalate issues as appropriate. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices. Support user account management, permissions, and access rights in Active Directory and related systems. Install and configure software applications, perform updates, and ensure compliance with IT policies. Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security measures and protocols. Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, asset inventory, and technical solutions. Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT systems, best practices, and security awareness. Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing ladders, and setting up IT equipment. Provide on-call support and occasional after-hours or weekend coverage as needed. Additional Responsibilities by Level: Respond to first-level technical support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system. Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and system checks. Escalate advanced issues to IT Technician II or III. Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for hardware, software, and network issues. Administer and maintain network infrastructure, servers, and security tools. Assist with IT system upgrades, patches, and deployments. Mentor and provide technical guidance to IT Technician I staff. Setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of virtual machines, cloud environments, and database services to support organizational operations. Lead IT infrastructure and system implementation projects from planning through execution. Design, configure, and optimize complex IT systems, networks, and security frameworks. Provide highest-level technical support and serve as escalation point for IT team. Collaborate with leadership on IT strategy, compliance, and technology initiatives. Develop and implement automation, scripting, and process improvements. Regular and consistent attendance. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
Education: IT Technician I: Associates degree (or equivalent experience) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. IT Technician II: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted. IT Technician III: Bachelors degree required. Additional specialized training or certifications strongly preferred.
Experience: IT Technician I: 12 years of IT support or related experience. Internship or project experience considered. IT Technician II: 35 years of progressively responsible IT support/administration experience. IT Technician III: 5+ years of advanced IT support, system administration, or infrastructure project leadership.
Technical Skills: IT Technician I: Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking; familiar with Windows and Mac OS; basic Active Directory. IT Technician II: Proficiency in system administration, user account management, group policies, and network troubleshooting; imaging, patch management, ticket triage. IT Technician III: Advanced expertise in network design, server management, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, disaster recovery; strong scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
General Skills (All Levels): Strong problem-solving and critical thinking; customer-service oriented; ability to explain technical issues clearly. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time; work independently and in a team.
