About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Department of the Interior (DOI) Business Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of business development professionals to identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities within the DOI. This role requires a strategic focus on fostering and maintaining strong relationships with potential customers, partners, and key stakeholders. The Vice President will work closely with regional and business line leaders to design and execute growth strategies that align with the organization's goals. Key responsibilities include developing and executing a DOI business development strategy, managing business development activities, and capturing new business to ensure the company's financial health.
Applicants must have a BA/BS plus a minimum of 12 years of relevant business development experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Federal entity business development and client management experience are essential. The role demands a candidate with a proven track record in business development, including the ability to identify and target strategic prospects, build successful business relationships, and manage the full business development lifecycle from opportunity identification to contract negotiation. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree and a strong understanding of the Department of the Interior and its Bureaus. The position requires advanced communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
