Hours Per Day: 5.75 (8:45 - 2:30) Work Year: 10 Months -- Off during school breaks. Minimum Pay Rate: $16.00/HourClassification: LaborEXPERIENCE: Previous work experience in the food service field desirable, but not essential. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:To assist in the preparation and serving of food, or in the cleaning of kitchen equipment as directed.KEY FUNCTIONS:
Assists in the preparation of food items.
Sets up serving lines with condiments, hot and cold foods, and table services.
Assist in food handling, including proper storage of food.
Serves as cashier and/ or server on food service line.
Assists in the washing and sanitizing of pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
The ability to lift a minimum of 35 to 50 pounds.
Hold a valid Servsafe Certificate or willing to complete the training.
The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
The ability to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues.
The ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
Displays a positive attitude and builds healthy relationships with students, staff and families.
Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Food Services or such persons as designated by the Director. FLSA: Non-Exempt
