Agricultural Truck Driver
Monday-Sunday 7:30am-6:00pm (Weather Depending) Responsibilities: Product Transportation: Drive trucks to transport harvested crops, feed, livestock, or equipment between farm sites, elevators, and storage facilities. Equipment and Supplies: Deliver empty packing materials to fields or haul harvesting equipment between locations. Safety and Maintenance: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers, report defects, and perform basic maintenance tasks. Cargo Management: Safely load, unload, and secure agricultural goods for transport. Route and Schedule Management: Collect and verify delivery instructions, manage routes, and coordinate with farm managers and other staff. Key Skills & Qualities: Driving Skills: Safe and efficient operation of heavy trucks, ability to navigate varied routes, and maneuver into loading positions. Mechanical Aptitude: Perform basic vehicle maintenance and understand truck defects. Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular hours, adapt to changing weather or field conditions. Attention to Detail: Diligence in documenting work, maintaining logs, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with farm managers, equipment operators, and other staff. Working Conditions: Seasonal Work: Harvest work is often seasonal and demanding during peak times. Varied Hours: Non-traditional hours, including extended shifts and weekend work. Field Environment: Driving in various conditions and working in close coordination with field operations.
