The University of Kentucky Healthcare (UKHC), Department of Pediatrics, invites applications for the position of Chief for the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. This academic appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level requires candidates to hold or be eligible for a Kentucky physician license, possess an MD/DO or equivalent degree, and be board-certified in Pediatric Cardiology. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record in healthcare leadership and program development, serving as the Division Chief of Pediatric Cardiology. This role includes co-leadership of the Kentucky site of the Joint Pediatric and Congenital Heart Program and a permanent position on the Program Steering Committee for the Partnership.

The faculty member will also collaborate on research activities for clinical projects and care reports, as well as participate in professional development activities such as regional, state, and national meetings.

The Kentucky Childrens Hospital has Eastern and Central Kentuckys only Level I pediatric trauma center, Level IV newborn (neonatal) intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. In addition, this facility houses more than 30 advanced sub-specialty programs, such as pediatric oncology and pediatric surgery.

Our collaboration with the Cincinnati Childrens Heart Institute means we have joined forces to provide advanced pediatric heart care close to home for patients in Kentucky. The collaboration combines the strength of UK HealthCares advanced pediatric and adult congenital heart care with Cincinnati Childrens nationally ranked experts in pediatric cardiac care and surgery.
