Your Opportunity
Appalachian Regional Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician to join our growing specialty team in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide advanced pulmonary and critical care services in a medically underserved region, supported by a collaborative, integrated health system committed to improving patient outcomes across Central Appalachia.
You will provide comprehensive pulmonary care, including inpatient critical care management and outpatient pulmonary consultation, within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage a broad range of pulmonary diseases and critically ill patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
Lead ICU patient management with collaboration across specialties.
Perform procedures such as bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing.
Collaborate with hospitalists, primary care providers, and specialty teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and education programs.
Maintain a predictable weekday clinical schedule.
