Gastroenterology/Hepatology Clinician
The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and the San Francisco VA Health Care System (SFVAHCS) are seeking applications for academic positions in the Gastroenterology Section at the San Francisco VA. We are in search of an outstanding clinician who will participate in clinical and teaching activities in our outpatient clinics and inpatient wards.
The San Francisco VA Health Care System provides health services to Veterans through the San Francisco VA Medical Center (SFVAMC) and seven community-based outpatient clinics. The gastroenterologist will devote their effort to patient care in general gastroenterology, hepatology, and endoscopy at the SFVAMC and community-based clinics, as well as academic work in research, quality improvement, medical education, program development, or another academic area. Applicants should demonstrate clinical excellence along with aptitude for scholarship in clinical and educational endeavors aligned with the missions of the Division, UCSF, and the SFVAHCS.

This individual will receive an academic appointment at UCSF in either the HS Clinical, Clinical X, In-Residence, or Adjunct series, at a rank (Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) commensurate with their experience. They will report directly to the Chief of Gastroenterology at SFVAHCS. Applicants must have an MD, a current medical license, and board certification in Internal Medicine. They must also be board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
