More than 900 providers and physicians provide 1.5 million patient visits a year coordinated through an integrated electronic health record. This is a benefited, part time position (48 hours every 2 weeks) generally working either Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 8am-5pm. Hours will vary as needed. Located at Scripps Clinic Encinitas (off Santa Fe Drive).

Your job duties: Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physicians practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics #LI-EE1 Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program or a minimum of two years of experience as a Military Corpsman or Medical Assistant Certification BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred Qualifications: One year of previous MA experience in the given department Primary Care experience At Scripps Health, you will experience the pride, support and respect of an organization that has been repeatedly recognized as one of the nations Top 100 Places to Work. Position Pay Range: $24.91-$31.45/hour
