Our history of pioneerism inspires us to roll up our sleeves in a collaborative and innovative spirit. We take pride in being an independent healthcare system that has the flexibility to make decisions that directly impact our communities.
Elevated standards are the cornerstone of our approach. As a pillar of our community, Vail Health puts as much emphasis on mental health as we do on physical health. We recognize the value of integrated teamwork to provide the same level of personalized care we'd give an elite athlete, neighbor, or family member.
Joining Vail Health means becoming part of something greater than yourself. We support your journey, providing curated benefits that foster your personal and professional growth. Together, we make a meaningful impact on the lives of our employees, patients, and local communities .

has expanded its reach with care facilities in Avon, Edwards, Eagle, Gypsum, and Basalt. Our main hospital in Vail offers a wide range of services, including emergency care, surgery, childbirth, and imaging, all within a modern facility that reflects our dedication to innovation and excellence.
At Vail Health Hospital,
Radiology
supports a full spectrum of care. We staff 3 to 5 technologists each day in Vail, rotating responsibilities to ensure seamless, high-quality imaging coverage for every patient. We offer exciting opportunities to cross-train in CT, MRI, Mammography, and Ultrasound, empowering you to broaden your skills and advance your career within our diverse imaging team.
Colorado Mountain Medical
is a team of primary care physicians, specialists and other practitioners with clinics in Dillon, Frisco, Vail, Avon, Edwards, and Eagle. CMM provides high-quality health care to Eagle County residents and visitors.
Howard Head Sports Medicine
helps people of all ages and abilities rebuild their body and spirit. Working with the world's top orthopaedic doctors and researchers, our patients benefit from innovative physical therapy techniques, state-of-the-art equipment and experienced physical therapists. With 10 locations in Eagle and Summit Counties, as well as the Roaring Fork Valley, Howard Head Sports Medicine will get you back to doing the activities you love!
The Shaw Cancer Center , a premier oncology facility in Edwards, provides comprehensive cancer care—ranging from radiation and infusion to supportive therapies—set in a serene, mountain environment.
In 2025, we also opened the
Precourt Healing Center , a state-of-the-art Behavioral Health facility offering both inpatient and outpatient services to meet the growing mental health needs of our mountain communities with compassionate, integrated care.
Patient Care Tech Program:
Patient care technicians are non-certified support staff that can help assist in basic medical tasks.
Students in the program are given six months to a year to go through a series of modules that progress their skill sets toward what is needed to become certified as a medical assistant. During the program, the staff members go through three promotion levels (PCT 1, PCT II and PCT III) with the fourth being becoming certified medical assistants after passing the national certification exam.
“We built out a four-step program for them to move through those skills. Each skill I would monitor closely to make sure that they were competent in. They would have a whole skills list and they would go through that, whether it be the training team or who they were shadowing for the day,” Katelynn Parks said. “The PCTs loved being able to do a little bit more outside of their current scope, which was very limited. We would train them specifically for Colorado Mountain Medical and what we needed our clinical assistants to do differently from other places.”
All of this skills training was provided on the job, meaning that not only were the students working toward — and gaining the skills needed — for the certification, they were being paid to do so.
