Job Summary

The Tuxedo Club is searching for Food Runners to join our team! The key role of the Food Runner is the coordination and communication between the front and back of the house with regard to the delivery of food to members and guests and assisting with setting up the various dining rooms, setting tables, clearing tables, pouring water, and running food. The Food Runner will work with servers and expediters, resetting the dining room, polishing glassware and various tasks that support service in all F&B areas of the Club.

Duties and Responsibilities

Expedite accurate delivery of food to any one of the dining venues at the Club, utilizing the traditional tray and tray jack system

Coordinate ticket timing in conjunction with the Culinary team

Communicate with kitchen last minute needs from servers.

Ensure all dishes coming out of kitchen are correct according to ticket, given correct condiments and brought to the correct seat/table. Communicate with kitchen if something else is needed and/or missing.

Develop knowledge of the menus here at the Club, and learn to ask questions

Assist servers and back waiters to meet the Tuxedo service standard set forth by the management team.

Including clearing and resetting tables

Running food and getting condiments

Communicating guest needs to servers and or kitchen

Assist housemen in setting up and breaking down event spaces, and more

Complete side-work as assigned by manager or supervisor

Possess a passion for exceeding member expectations with a commitment to excellence that results in providing the highest quality experience

Deliver a fun and friendly environment during each guest exchange while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times

Adhere to company uniform and grooming standards at all times

Comply with all NYS Health and Safety codes with regards to Food and Beverage

Perform any related duties as requested by the supervisor/manager

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive Hourly rate based on experience

Working Conditions

As a food runner you may be in a full time or part time hourly position. It is expected that you may have to work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception

Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs multiple times per day, and push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
