Staff Software Engineer – Fullstack (Remote, US/Canada)
Location: Remote – US or Canada (excluding Quebec)
Compensation: $190k – $240k + Generous Pre-IPO Equity
Type: Full-time

A high-growth, mission-driven technology company serving local businesses is looking for a Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack) to join their core product engineering team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in 0-to-1 product environments and wants to have a meaningful impact on the future of a fast-scaling platform.

You’ll take full ownership of end-to-end product development, contribute to technical strategy, and mentor team members while helping shape the engineering culture.

• Build high-impact features and products from the ground up

• Own projects from initial concept to production deployment

• Ensure code is modular, maintainable, and scalable

• Work across the stack, delivering features that provide end-to-end value

• Partner with product and design teams to influence roadmap and direction

• Conduct user research and customer conversations to inform product decisions

• Lead by example in code reviews, technical discussions, and design sessions

• Mentor junior engineers and elevate team capabilities

• Contribute to hiring and help strengthen the engineering culture

• 8+ years of experience building fullstack applications, including experience at the Staff level

• Deep expertise in modern TypeScript-based stacks

• Strong product instincts and desire to work closely with users

• A bias toward shipping, while maintaining high quality and thoughtful design

• Clear communication, collaborative mindset, and strong technical judgment

• Prior experience in fast-paced startups or product-led teams

• Languages/Frameworks: TypeScript (across the stack)

• Frontend: React, Next.js, Vue

• Backend: Node.js, MongoDB

• 100% remote within the US and Canada (excluding Quebec)

• Optional in-person collaboration at HQ in San Francisco (Presidio) for those based locally
