Salary Range: 65-90K
The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of MMBC’s salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
About Us:
We are a multi-specialty healthcare organization with a strong emphasis on Radiation Oncology (Photon and Proton therapy). Our team is seeking a Revenue Cycle Data Analyst to provide data-driven insights that will improve revenue cycle performance, streamline AR processes, and support strategic decision-making.
Position Overview:
The Revenue Cycle Data Analyst will play a key role in analyzing financial and operational data to identify trends, optimize billing and collections, and drive performance improvements across specialties. While this role focuses primarily on data analysis and reporting, familiarity with AR processes and payer reimbursement is highly preferred. Experience with healthcare billing systems such as IDX and Imagine is valuable, and exposure to Epic and Aria is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret revenue cycle data, including billing, collections, denials, and AR performance.
- Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reports that track KPIs and highlight trends in reimbursement and cash flow.
- Partner with AR and billing teams to provide insights that improve claim submission, payment posting, and denial resolution.
- Translate complex data sets into actionable recommendations for leadership and operational teams.
- Utilize IDX and/or Imagine software to extract and validate data; integrate Epic and Aria data when applicable.
- Support month-end close and forecasting activities with accurate AR and revenue analysis.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and accuracy in reporting.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of process improvements to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within healthcare revenue cycle management.
- Strong knowledge of AR concepts, payer reimbursement, and denial management preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, data modeling); SQL or similar query tools a plus.
- Hands-on experience with IDX and/or Imagine billing systems strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Epic and Aria a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills to present data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
