Commercial Construction Lead Foreman

Location: Multiple job site locations in Houston, Downtown, Galleria, Katy, Clear Lake and other greater Houston area.
Compensation : $25.00 – $30.00/hour (based on experience) + overtime, and growth opportunities.
About Us
Lance Construction is looking for a highly motivated and experienced commercial construction lead foreman to join our team of construction professionals. Lance Construction has been in the Houston construction industry for over 20 years, specializing in interior finish and tenant improvement projects. Our projects primarily consist of interior remodels in class A high rise office buildings, and office/warehouse complexes.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Lead Foreman to oversee field operations on multiple projects across the Houston area. This is a working foreman role —you’ll be hands-on in the field while leading and coordinating a crew of 5–8 painters and carpenters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, direct and work alongside a team of 5–8 field crew members (painters & carpenters).
- Perform and oversee installation of:
- Acoustical ceilings
- Drywall and framing
- Doors and frames
- Glass metal systems
- Read and interpret blueprints with accuracy.
- Ensure quality control, safety, and adherence to project timelines.
- Coordinate with project managers and superintendents on site progress.
- Maintain safe, organized job sites.
- Utilize technology such as tablets and Procore software when applicable.
- Assist in material takeoff and orders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience (including drywall, framing, ceilings, doors/frames, glass/metal).
- 2+ years in a leadership or foreman role .
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must provide own hand tools .
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Work hours: Monday–Friday 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with at least one Saturday per month and overtime as needed per project.
- Ability to travel between job sites across Houston and the surrounding area.
Preferred Skills (Plus)
- Experience with Procore or similar construction software.
- OSHA 10/30 or other safety certifications.
- Spanish/English bilingual ability.
