Bilingual Medical Assistant Opportunity

Momentum Spine and Joint- North Dallas (75243) is looking for a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant is responsible for conducting administrative and specific clinical tasks under the direction of a Physician or Provider to ensure efficient operation of the clinic. The Medical Assistant contributes to a positive patient experience by functioning as a member of the clinical team performing a supportive role in the delivery of patient care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

Essential Functions:

  • Rooms patients consistent with clinic needs while determining and documenting chief complaint and reason for visit, vital signs, medication list, allergies, smoking history, and other information as required by clinic.
  • Documents patient vitals and keeps medical records up to date.
  • Communicates and documents any status updates and changes regarding patient and treatment plan.
  • Maintains patient charts and ensures completeness and accuracy of patients forms.
  • Keeps patients informed of delays and progress of clinical appointments.
  • Provides administrative support and performs routine clerical tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Ensures exam rooms are prepared and stocked with adequate medical supplies as well as cleaning rooms appropriately between patients.
  • Maintains and responds to e-mails, telephone calls, and inquiries.
  • Takes telephone messages and provides feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
  • Assists team and uses downtime efficiently.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of patient care charts, patient histories, patient evaluation, and triage procedures.
  • Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols.
  • Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
  • Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
  • Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of experience in a clinical setting.
