EMPLOYMENT BEGINS: As soon as possible
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
- To keep the electrical system and equipment in such an operating state that no major interruptions of the instructional system occur.
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Journeyman Electrical License.
- Texas Driver's License with less that three (3) moving traffic violations within the past three (3) years
- Class "A" CDL Drivers License.
- Possess understanding of the functions of electrical systems.
- Exhibit ability to interpret manufacturer's maintenance and repair manuals/schematics.
- Possess ability to work with and communicate with fellow workers, teachers, and administrators.
- All electrical hand tools, drills, sawzalls, concrete saws, core drill, jack hammer (air/electrical), chop saw, hand conduit benders, PVC conduit Heater/benders, Hydraulic-K.) Punch, fish tape vac, cable puller, welders, bucket truck (up to 65 ft, all test equipment used in the trade.
- Successful experience in working with electrical systems.
- Assist in Maintaining and repairing all interior and exterior building electrical systems.
- Assist in maintaining lighting, electrical outlets and related switching equipment in all district facilities.
- Assist in the installation of electrical service.
- Assist in maintaining and repairing electrical equipment used in the schools and other departments.
- Operate and take proper care of vehicles and assigned equipment.
- Assume responsibility for the clean up of any debris left from repair jobs and for the re-arranging of any equipment, furniture, or fixtures by moving them back to their original positions.

- Comprehending simple instructions both written and verbal.

- Climbing pole to 100 ft plus.
- Lifting over 50 lbs.
- Crawling, kneeling, repeated bending.
- Seeing with corrected vision to aid in work done on scaffolds, ladders.
- Working out of a bucket truck.
- Working inside and outside with extreme temperatures.
- Working under buildings, in ditches, attics and roofs.
