Locums - Anesthesiologist Location: Asheville, North Carolina Clinical Role

  • Seeking 3-4 General Anesthesia MDs

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Assignment Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)

  • Coverage needed until W2 hires are onboarded

Job Details

  • Shifts: 8s, 10s, 12s

  • Call: No call required

  • Case Volume: 3,500-4,000 general cases per month

  • Case Mix:

    • Busy OB

    • Trauma

    • Designated Stroke Center

    • Vascular

    • Neuro

    • Urology

    • Orthopedics

  • Required Skills: Must be able to perform peripheral nerve blocks

Care Team Model

  • Yes, primarily supervisory

  • Ratio: 1 MD : 3-4 CRNAs

  • MDs may occasionally run their own cases

Technology

  • EMR: Cerner

  • Anesthesia Info System: AIMS

Requirements

  • Board Certification or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology - Required

  • Active North Carolina Medical License - Required
