Urology Physician

Total FTEs needed: 1 provider

Schedule: Clinic 8a-4p, night call 5p-8a, 24-hour call 7a-7a (1:6 rotation)

Typical coverage: 3-4 weeks per month, minimum 3 months required

Clinic/call setting

Duties & Procedures:

• General urology care in clinic and on call

• Procedures include cystoscopy, vasectomies, prostate biopsy, TURP, uroflow/cuff, bladder scans, ureteroscopy, nephrectomy, cystectomy, ESWL, Botox injections, etc.

• Robotic surgery available but not required

• Patient volume: 20-25 patients/day

• Surgical volume: 20-30/month

• Call: 20% new consults, 80% returning patients

• Admissions: hospitalist team present

• Rounding: locum will round as needed

• EMR: EPIC

• Support staff: 2 RNs, MA, surgery scheduler, 2 front office staff

• Reason for coverage: open position, prior locum transitioned to permanent role

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology (0-5 years post-residency acceptable)

• Active Washington medical license

• Active ACLS, BLS, DEA (can obtain ACLS/BLS if selected)
