Locums - Radiation Oncologist OpeningLocation: Laurinburg, North CarolinaStart Date: October 27, 2025Duration: OngoingCoverage Needed: Full-Time (will consider 2 weeks/month) Schedule
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
  • One admin day per week
  • One "under-treat" day (no clinic, beam only: 15-20 patients)
  • No Call Required
  • Must be on-site daily for radiation treatment oversight
  • Peer review required with second Radiation Oncologist for all new starts
Licensing & Certifications
  • Board Certified in Radiation Oncology - Required
  • North Carolina Medical License - Required
  • BLS - Required
  • DEA (Unrestricted) - Required
  • CSR - Not Required
Experience & Skills
  • 2-3 years of experience preferred
  • Will consider strong new grads
  • Required skills:
    • IGRT & IMRT
    • Eclipse Treatment Planning
    • TrueBeam familiarity
    • Comfortable with peer review and oversight processes
Clinical Details
  • Patient Volume:
    • Up to 2 consults and 8 follow-ups/day
  • Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics (18+)
  • EMR: Epic
Department Overview
  • Outpatient, comprehensive radiation oncology department
  • Integrated with medical oncology for collaborative care
  • Support staff includes:
    • Dosimetrist & Physicist (on-site)
    • Oncology RN
    • Navigator
Technology & Procedures
  • Procedures Performed: IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SRS/SBRT
  • Equipment:
    • Varian TrueBeam
    • Eclipse Treatment Planning System
    • MIM Software
    • Aria
