Overview
Colliflower, Inc. is a customer-focused distributor of quality fluid connectors. We have been delivering superior quality Parker Hannifin hoses and fittings since 1951. We fabricate and sell a wide variety of fluid connector products.
We currently have an opening for a Warehouse Associate in our Baltimore, MD location. The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm. Our warehouses are climate controlled all year around.
Responsibilities
- Processes requests by pulling orders from printer/document bin, determines items to be gathered, and accurately pulls product from storage.
- Identifies and locates hose products as required; measures and safely cuts to designated length.
- Follows quality control procedures to verify and check all orders picked against customer invoices prior to shipping.
- Prepares and expedites shipments – assemble & pack product, affix shipping labels, and prepare all shipping documents.
- Stages finished product order for shipping, delivery, or customer pick up.
- Runs customer’s payment for order as needed.
- Assists with receiving products, unloading trucks, and stocking product in appropriate place.
- Reconciles and records incoming product per standard and provides Accounting Dept. with appropriate documents.
- Counts physical inventory as needed or directed.
- Ensures that inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory and notifies appropriate individuals if discrepancies are found.
- Provides exceptional service and assists in all areas of the store as needed.
- Responds positively to customer needs and resolves them efficiently.
- Produces high quality fitting & hose assemblies.
- Organizes and cleans warehouse/hub and work areas; ensures the warehouse is clean, safe, accessible, and organized.
- Assists with van routes by packing products and delivering to and from store locations.
- Safely drive to all store locations/customer sites and follow the rules of the road.
- Ensure that daily and regular maintenance of the van is kept up and completed.
- Report any safety concerns or issues with vehicle to supervisor immediately.
- Professionally and efficiently communicate with other departments to better serve our customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum of 3+ years warehouse experience required.
- Related industry experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the Baltimore location.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Attention to detail - can identify product by size, type, style, or code.
- Solid reading skills – must be able to read and interpret documents such as product manuals, purchase orders, and procedure manuals.
- Basic math skills and the ability to learn metrics & metric equivalents.
- Good oral & written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and execute instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Proficient computer skills and data entry experience.
- Have a mechanical aptitude.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, carry, push & pull up to 150 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours).
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull and climb.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
Work Environment
- Work performed in a shop/warehouse environment, with occasional outdoor exposure during the workday.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Exposed to several elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable (i.e., noise from equipment and temperature fluctuations depending on the season).
- May work at different workstations as production and shipping needs require.
