Retail Cleaning Associate – The TJX Companies, Inc.

This role is part of TJ Maxx stores and may be cross-trained to support the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and upholding customer experience principles
• Adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards
• Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store as needed to support business needs
• Model positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect
• Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and handle cash according to procedures
• Promote credit and loyalty programs
• Maintain merchandising standards and prepare merchandise for the sales floor
• Conduct store recovery and maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and store
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
• Support shrink reduction programs and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Possesses excellent customer service skills
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Capable of multi-tasking and adapting to changes in direction
• Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
• Works effectively with peers and supervisors
• Retail customer experience is preferred

Benefits and compensation

• Starting pay range: $12.00 to $12.50 per hour. Actual starting pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience
