Responsibilities

• Lead data analysis and reporting for homelessness prevention programs and initiatives
• Conduct population-level analyses using the City’s Homelessness Management Information System (HMIS)
• Design, build, and maintain analytical dashboards for City-funded homelessness initiatives
• Develop reports, dashboards, and presentations to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
• Collaborate with outside organizations on data analysis activities related to shared research goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public policy, economics, statistics, urban planning, social work, computer science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred
• At least two (2) years of professional experience in data analysis, research, program evaluation, or related work
• Demonstrated experience working with large datasets, including cleaning, transforming, and analyzing data
• Familiarity with SQL and the ability to write queries to extract and summarize data from relational databases
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing reports, dashboards, or data visualizations using tools like Apache Superset, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
• Knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, or Stata
