We are seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy Senior Lead Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team in our San Francisco or Chicago office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data and strategy-someone who is passionate about uncovering insights that drive business decisions and has deep experience in banking products and client behavior.

You'll work closely with senior business leaders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that influence strategy across sales, pricing, profitability, and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insight Generation & Strategic Analysis

  • Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities and deliver impactful insights.

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on banking products, client behavior, and performance trends.

  • Develop executive-ready presentations that translate data into strategic recommendations.

  • Technical Excellence

  • Use SQL and Python (or similar programming languages) to extract, analyze, and visualize data.

  • Build scalable analytical solutions and automate recurring processes.

  • Collaborate with the Sr. Manager and analytics team to improve data workflows and efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, finance, and strategy teams to align analytics with business priorities.

  • Serve as a thought partner to stakeholders, helping them interpret data and make informed decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience & Domain Knowledge

  • 5-7 years of experience in analytics, preferably within banking or financial services.

  • Strong understanding of banking products, client segmentation, and business strategy.

  • Technical Skills

  • Proficient in SQL and Python (or other programming languages with a willingness to learn Python).

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

  • Communication & Influence

  • Ability to distill complex data into simple, compelling insights.

  • Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.

  • Mindset

  • Curious, proactive, and impact-driven.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

Salary:

$88,800.00 - $165,600.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
