What you will do:

• Be on-site Security Guard Project Manager responsible for all operations related to general airport security services at Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL). This includes, but is not limited to, management of airport security screening operations in accordance with TSA directives and SOPs.
• Manage and support the collection of various performance metrics; analyze results and propose process improvements to eliminate weaknesses, vulnerabilities, or inefficiencies in the screening process.
• Prioritize safety and security while addressing customer service needs.
• Coordinate crisis management and incident response protocols.
• Develop cooperative relationships with all airport stakeholders.
• Schedule screening personnel.
• Promote guard development through ongoing assessment and regular feedback.
• Be available on-call to receive and implement orders or special instructions related to security and contract operations.
• Evaluate performance of contractor-employed screening personnel and take corrective action for infractions.

What you will need:

• Minimum five years of management experience with primary responsibility for operations in security, law enforcement, or aviation security operations.
• Professional-level experience managing non-exempt employees in a fast-paced, service organization.
• Must be able to secure a Class “MB” Security Agency Manager License.
• Ability to communicate professionally in accordance with company standards.
• Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office; ability to learn and operate timekeeping/payroll programs.
• Customer-service oriented approach with the ability to interact with all levels in the organization in a courteous and professional manner.
• Professional, articulate, independent judgement and discretion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak English clearly and concisely.
• Ability to oversee a team of 50+ employees.

Desired Skills / Experience:

• Previous experience managing operations in security, law enforcement, or aviation security operations.

Basic Qualifiers:

• Must be a US citizen or US National.
• Must have a current Class “MB” Security Agency Manager License or be able to obtain one.
• Must have a current Florida driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain an airport SIDA badge.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field; additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and submit to random drug/alcohol testing.
