Overview

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Batavia is seeking a Receptionist. Position Type: Full-Time. Schedule: 8:30am-4:30pm with every other weekend availability. Pay Rate: $18-$20/hour. Responsibilities

• Greet and assist visitors, residents, and family members with a friendly and helpful attitude; provide information about services, visiting hours, and policies.
• Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate staff or departments; respond to inquiries about the facility and resident status.
• Manage sign-in and sign-out procedures for visitors and ensure adherence to established protocols.
• Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages; arrange outgoing mail and packages for pickup or delivery.
• Respond to emergencies or security concerns and notify appropriate staff as needed.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and administrators to ensure effective communication.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area with available reading materials and amenities for visitors.
• Handle difficult or upset visitors in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Adhere to facility policies, safety guidelines, and relevant regulations.
• Assist with orientation for new employees or volunteers regarding receptionist procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with hospitality, seniors, health care, and service delivery preferred.
• Customer service/hospitality background preferred.
• Strong communication skills; ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
