Overview

This Hybrid role requires three days per week in the downtown Chicago or New York City office. The Manager, Marketing Scientist is tasked with developing and delivering advanced ML/AI-based products and analytic solutions integrated into the Publicis CoreAI to support the agency’s global media engagement relationship with Mars, Inc. ("Mars"). The role will drive both technical delivery and effective deployment of advanced analytic solutions in areas such as connected measurement, outcomes/KPI forecasting, experimental designs at strategic segments and geo levels, and optimization across all brand and performance media investments. We seek an experienced marketing/data science practitioner who has applied technical expertise to innovative data engineering and ML/AI modeling problems. The ideal candidate blends technical-domain expertise with hands-on modeling and data engineering experience, leveraging structured and unstructured data with experience in CPG and service-based business models.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Development: Design and develop ML/AI-based data products and analytic solutions that are essential blocks of the Publicis CoreAI workflows and directly support the delivery and execution of the OneMars Measurement and Optimization roadmap, functioning independently or interfacing with other marketing scientists, data scientists and data engineers from partner Publicis teams in-house.
  • Partner with peers in related technical areas to audit/assess current data science capabilities and offerings to support media & marketing planning and operations functions.
  • Operate in a constant “growth hacking” mode to enhance the current suite of AI-based analytic data products.
  • Assist in the development of Proof-of-Concepts to evaluate new tools.

Subject Matter Technical Expertise

  • Collaborate with partner product stakeholders to translate product and output requirements into AI/ML solution architecture, tools, tasks, and code that improve the Publicis CoreAI offering.
  • Hands-on expertise in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and tool ecosystems to create ML/AI/GenAI applications solving business problems; adapt to new languages and paradigms as needed.
  • Produce high-quality code that leads to rapid delivery and compelling utility.
  • Model across multiple data domains and platforms; design elastic, scalable analytic systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver AI/ML features and services for workflow implementations.
  • Ensure projects adhere to quality standards, timelines, and budgets.

Domain Thought-Leadership & Industry Innovation

  • Stay abreast of trends, technologies, and best practices in marketing science.
  • Support internal knowledge-sharing and training to elevate team expertise.
  • Contribute to growth by editing case studies and white papers highlighting success stories and innovative analytic approaches.
  • Raise the bar for the organization in your technical area.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing data science and advanced analytics.
  • Experience developing AI/ML analytic solutions in fast-moving, innovation-focused organizations in categories such as e-commerce/retail, entertainment/media/travel, or advertising platforms/services.
  • Hands-on coding history showcasing proficiency.
  • Mastery of multiple programming languages and development tools; experience building products used by other developers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

Education

  • Advanced degrees (M.Sc./PhD) in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications in analytics or data science (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional) preferred.

Compensation Range: $87,210 - $137,195 annually. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. The application deadline is October 1, 2025.
