Night Shift Electrician Technician - St. Charles, MO
As part of our manufacturing group, you will support production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, and participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment. An electrician installs and maintains electrical systems, diagnosing and correcting issues to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment and other electrically operated devices.
Responsibilities
- Support production packaging and processing operations, sanitation, startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.
- Install and maintain electrical distribution systems, equipment, components, and controls; diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Analyze and diagnose electrical problems to ensure safe operation of equipment.
- Operate within the current National Electric Code and maintain documentation of work performed.
- Install, maintain, modify and repair electrical distribution systems and associated equipment; inspect and test components (wiring, MCCs, breaker panels, transformers, transfer switches, switchgear).
- Work with Allen Bradley drives, RS & ControlLogix, PLCs, and HMI programming/maintenance; perform programming and troubleshooting as part of control systems.
- Work with low and 120/240/480-volt systems and follow Electrical Safety practices and PPE requirements; participate in Arc Flash Hazard environments as applicable.
- Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers installation manuals to complete projects and troubleshoot equipment.
- Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans; complete work orders and record materials used.
- Run data cables, connect computer jacks/plugs, and test for proper operation.
- Assist in training new employees and support other tasks as assigned (may include assisting with mechanical installation, maintenance, or production).
Shift hours
- Plant operates 24/7; must be able to work up to 48 hours per week, Sunday–Saturday.
- Currently hiring for night shift; 12-hour shifts (AM: 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.; PM: 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.).
- Assigned to a rotating 4 days on / 4 days off pattern, with an 8-week cycle of 48 hours then 36 hours per week, averaging 42–44 hours over the cycle.
- Overtime on any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Pay
- $32.96 to $38.93 per hour, dependent on skillset and experience.
- $2,500 signing bonus: $1,250 paid at 90 days and $1,250 at 6 months of employment.

What you have to offer (Qualifications)
- Minimum of a high school education or GED
- Analytical and mathematical mindset; ability to evaluate and solve complex problems
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, including control systems
- Mechanical aptitude to understand machine operation
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods (standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting)
- Ability to climb and work at heights using stairs, ladders, lifts, or platforms
- Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment (safety shoes, masks, goggles, hearing protection, hard hat, hair/beard net, gloves)
- Willing to adhere to grooming requirements in a food manufacturing environment
- Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environments; around high-speed machinery
- Ability to work with dietary allergens present in a food environment
