About Us

Our Hillside is a New York–based production company specializing in branded storytelling and commercial content for global clients. We’re expanding our design team and looking for a Motion Graphic Designer who can bring strong visual storytelling to life through animated explainers, infographics, and brand-driven motion design.

Role Overview

This is a full-time position for an experienced designer with a large portfolio and proven track record. The most important skill is being able to comfortably draft and create animated explainer videos from start to finish — from initial concepts and storyboards to polished, client-ready animations.

Pay: $65,000+/year depending on experience

What You’ll Do

• Design and animate high-quality motion graphics for explainer videos, branded content, and commercials.


• Collaborate with producers, post producer, editors, and clients to translate complex ideas into engaging visual stories.


• Work across industry-standard software including Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Blender.


• Contribute to creative development and pitch ideas for new projects.


• Deliver consistent, brand-aligned visuals under tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong, diverse motion graphics portfolio with a focus on explainer videos.


• 3+ years of professional experience in motion design.


• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Blender.


• Strong storytelling and visual communication skills.


• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and handle multiple projects at once.


• Must be available 3 days per week in our SoHo office.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Cinema 4D or other 3D tools.


• Knowledge of sound design integration.


• Familiarity with corporate storytelling and commercial campaigns.
