Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus):
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Post job openings on internal and external platforms.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure a strong talent pipeline.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews, assessments, and feedback sessions.
- Manage applicant tracking systems and maintain accurate candidate records.
- Extend employment offers and coordinate all pre-employment processes, including physical examinations, background checks, reference verifications, and other onboarding requirements.
- Conduct wage and compensation surveys to analyze market trends and ensure the organization offers competitive and equitable wage rates.
- Represent the company at job fairs and recruitment events.
General HR Support:
- Support employee relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
- Maintain HRIS data and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives.
- Participate in HR projects and process improvements.
- Develop and conduct employee and management training on topics such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, FMLA, sexual harassment, etc.; serve as a back-up for conducting new hire training and orientation.
- Create, maintain, and conduct employee surveys and exit interviews; analyze data to gauge employee satisfaction as well as trends or patterns; notify appropriate individuals and/or departments of applicable information.
- Assist with processing payroll in the absence of the primary payroll administrator.
- Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education level strongly preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 1 year focused on recruitment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- PHR/SHRM-CP or SPHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms.
- Understanding of and ability to work with highly confidential information.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other office machinery.

- Ability to receive and provide instructions in a positive manner.
- Ability to travel to other plant locations as necessary, up to 10–15% of the time.
Work Environment
The work environment varies by task and location. The employee is generally based in an office environment but may visit production areas where personal protective equipment may be required. Regular walking, standing, and light lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
