Overview
IT Helpdesk Support role at Motion Recruitment in Artesia, NM. This is a contract opportunity.
Contract Duration: 3 Months.
Responsibilities
- Resolve entry-level end-user calls and install, modify, and repair desktop and laptop computer hardware and software under close supervision.
- Provide Tier 1 support (and Tier 2 support as needed).
- Receive and respond to user requests, providing technical support and resolving routine problems related to information and voice systems and other information.
- Receive and coordinate technical questions from users at all levels.
- Document all user requests and enter status data into the Help Desk application; write regular reports.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with end-users throughout the lifecycle of their issue or service request.
- Install software, hardware, and peripheral components.
- Create installation packages for quick deployment of applications.
- Maintain desktop hardware and peripherals inventory in the asset management system.
- Assist with installation and configuration of telecommunications and server hardware under supervision.
- Maintain physical and logical security accounts for assigned systems.
- Monitor and resolve entry-level issues related to systems, network, and security; perform remedial actions as needed.
- Write clear, concise procedural documentation and provide basic training to users on new product releases.
- Relocate technical equipment as required.
- Complete special assignments or tasks as directed by supervision.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, decision-making, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate reading and writing skills, basic reading skills, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, and strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Will be required to obtain: A+ certification in 6 months; MCP in 12 months from the effective date of assignment.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Special training in A+ and Network+ or MCDST, MCP, and HDI.
