The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities aligned with LNDs strategic goals. This role will focus on expanding relationships with Investor-Owned Utilities, Municipalities, Renewable Developers, Industrial Clients and Contractors, while strengthening LNDs market presence in the engineering and field services sector. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in the power delivery sector, understands the technical and operational aspects of engineering and field services, and excels at building long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities:Business Development & SalesIdentify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities within LNDs target markets.Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue goals.Respond to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs with technically accurate and competitive proposals.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with leaderships support and in alignment with company goals and profitability targets.Client Relationship ManagementEstablish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at Investor-Owned Utilities, Municipalities, Renewable Developers, Industrial Clients and Contractors.Conduct regular client meetings to identify needs, potential solutions, and ensure satisfaction.Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal project teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.Market & Industry AnalysisMonitor industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify emerging opportunities.Represent LND at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.Provide leadership with regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and market intelligence.Collaboration & Internal CoordinationWork closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure technical accuracy in proposals.Collaborate with leadership to develop new service offerings and market strategies.Support marketing initiatives, including content creation, branding, and campaign execution. Qualifications:Required:Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of business development or sales experience in engineering, construction, power systems, or industrial services.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.Strong understanding of medium- to high-voltage systems, switchgear, substations, and related services.Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Ability to travel domestically up to 50% or more.Must be able to work legally in the US.Preferred:Experience working with NETA-certified service providers, EPC contractors, or utility clients.Technical background in electrical engineering or power systems.Existing network of contacts in LNDs target industries.
