Designs and develops production layouts for a company’s warehouse to increase productivity and quality standards. Reviewing current production schedules and processes to find potential improvements, designing facility layouts and estimating production costs. Responsibilities

Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement. Design efficient production processes and workflows. Ensure processes are designed to meet quality standards. Enforce quality control to reduce waste. Improve the efficiency of each production process. Evaluate employees’ tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity. Implement controls to monitor costs and minimize production issues. Identify potential locations and determine facility design. Work with other departments to develop design and production standards. Prepare inventory analysis and procurement purchase orders to address production needs. Design facility layout and personnel requirements in relation to production operations. Help develop instruction manuals for production personnel. Ensure work processes are safe and address safety issues and concerns. Generate process documentation and reports. Work with technical writers to prepare client and customer proposals. Production capacity analysis. Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate business needs into technical recommendations. Good leadership and relationship-building skills to implement productivity changes. Ability to develop viable solutions to a variety of challenges; plan to overcome problems. Analytical skills to evaluate data, create reports, and present results to decision-makers. Knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards. Understanding of lean manufacturing and supply-chain management. Familiarity with SPC and JIT strategies. Data analytics skills and attention to detail. Understanding of ergonomics. Project management skills. Strong presentation, organizational, planning, and documentation skills. Adept at using presentation software and presenting complex information to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages; experience with Agile/Scrum is a plus. Experience using CAD platforms. Experience with SAP software. Education & Experience

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, computer science, process control, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar field. 1 - 3 years of Industrial Engineering experience in manufacturing or equivalent training.
