Head of Corporate Finance

— Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is a shared service organization delivering services to all Munich Re US P&C Companies and other group entities. Location: New York, United States. We are adding to our diverse team of experts and are looking to hire those who are committed to building a culture that enables the creation of innovative solutions for our business units and clients. The purpose of this position is to build and scale a team of Corporate Finance experts that drive capital optimization initiatives and lead M&A projects during deal phase and post-merger integration. We are adding to our diverse team of experts and are looking to hire a Head of Corporate Finance to help optimize capital deployment and fungibility across North American P&C, be part of the regional Center of Competence (CoE) running M&A projects and be a key contributor supporting the Group CFO’s Ambition 2025+. The role requires navigating a matrixed organization, developing partnerships across operational/functional areas, and leading through influence with a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement. This position reports to the Head of Strategy & Corporate Finance. Responsibilities

Build and lead a team of experts that employ strategic project portfolio management principles to lead and manage capital optimization initiatives across North American P&C through legal entity streamlining Improve capital efficiency and fungibility and increase operational efficiency Lead M&A projects (focus North America) with responsibility for financial due diligence, financing, development of integration scenarios, and orchestration across different units. Plan and oversee Day One readiness and execution, business process and systems integration and separation, and dependency and risk management Develop and review financial models, including synergy estimation, PMI costs, and standard costs. Facilitate financial modeling, valuation techniques, capital structure & tax treatment determination, project prioritization & execution Develop out-of-the-box solutions to realize harmonization potential in line with legal entity streamlining and harvest operational efficiencies Liaise with and build effective relationships with counterparts across the organization, i.e., GSI finance organizations, Munich counterparts Manage and steer external support if applicable (e.g., external consultants engaged in M&A processes) Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance or equivalent education and work experience. Graduate degree a plus CPA and other relevant professional certifications preferred 8+ years of work experience in corporate finance advisory or M&A preferred Strong Corporate Finance skillset with emphasis in financial modelling – Actuarial and Accounting expertise is a plus Proven track-record in building and leading high performing teams Strong skills in project management to lead in a collaborative way and to influence and negotiate across all levels of the organization Results orientation, instilling a pervasive culture of accountability across teams and through the business Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to turn findings into executable plans High energy, tenacious, enthusiastic, and an entrepreneurial spirit Excellent oral and written presentation skills with demonstrated ability to present to Senior Executives; demonstrated ability to tailor communication to different audiences and gear complex, multidisciplinary issues to the respective target group The Company information and location flexibility

— The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including Princeton and NYC. The salary range posted reflects market variations across locations and will be adjusted per geography. Benefits and Compensation

The base salary range anticipated for this position is

$180,000 - $220,000 , plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. Benefits include health insurance, employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). The salary estimate is adjusted to reflect varying market conditions across different locations, with the higher end more aligned with the New York City job market. Factors that may determine your actual salary include your specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role.
