OneStudyTeam
Overview
Senior Machine Learning Engineer at OneStudyTeam (a Reify Health company). OneStudyTeam specializes in speeding up clinical trials and improving patient outcomes through our cloud-based StudyTeam platform, which enables sites, sponsors, and other stakeholders to work together more effectively. StudyTeam is trusted by global biopharmaceutical companies, used in over 6,000 research sites, and available in over 100 countries. One mission. One team. That's OneStudyTeam.
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building cutting-edge AI products that directly impact how new therapies reach patients. You will turn advanced AI research into scalable, real-world solutions. You thrive on solving complex problems, enjoy collaboration, and are capable of working as an individual contributor as well as within a team. You will be able to work remotely with initiative and discipline, and bring strong empathy and communication skills to the role.
What You'll Be Working On
Build and deploy AI-driven products that accelerate clinical trials and improve patient outcomes. Deliver scalable machine learning solutions to complex, real-world problems in clinical research.
Develop advanced ML models and LLM-powered agents for use cases like patient recruitment, enrollment forecasting, and study feasibility. Help expand our AI knowledge base architecture to support these solutions.
Leverage modern cloud tools and MLOps best practices to build robust data pipelines and deploy models at scale. Use technologies like Python (and Clojure), AWS services (Athena, Bedrock, SageMaker, etc.), dbt, Prefect, and CI/CD with monitoring to ensure models are reliable and up-to-date.
Collaborate across teams of data scientists, product managers, designers, engineers, and domain experts to integrate AI capabilities into the platform (including Care Access products) and ensure AI solutions support clinical research workflows for end-users.
Continuously learn and innovate. Stay up-to-date with ML/AI advances (LLMs, NLP, probabilistic modeling) and turn promising prototypes into production features that drive the mission forward.
What You'll Bring to OneStudyTeam
Extensive ML engineering experience: 5+ years building and deploying machine learning solutions in production at scale. Experience delivering end-to-end ML pipelines from data ingestion to model serving for real-world use.
Strong programming and data skills: Proficiency in Python and the ML ecosystem (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch), clean coding practices, comfortable with large datasets, SQL, and modern data processing frameworks. Experience with functional programming (e.g., Clojure) is a plus but not required.
Cloud and MLOps expertise: Experience with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar) and containerization (Docker). Familiarity with CI/CD, automated testing, and monitoring model performance/data drift for reliable deployments.
Deep ML/AI knowledge: Understanding of model selection, training, evaluation, feature engineering, and statistical modeling. Familiarity with NLP and large language models.
Analytical problem-solving: Ability to break down complex problems and devise effective ML solutions. Balanced pragmatism with scientific rigor for production-ready models.
Mission-driven and business-focused mindset: Passion for speeding up clinical trials and improving patient outcomes. Empathy for patients, clinicians, and researchers to build unbiased AI solutions.
We value diversity and believe the unique contributions of each team member drive our success. We do not discriminate on race, sex, religion, color, national origin, gender identity, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
