About the Role
We are seeking a
Senior Full Stack Engineer
to join the Sphere team, building our flagship conversational AI platform that powers millions of voice and chat interactions for credit unions and banks. This is a highly impactful role where you will design and implement
modern frontend applications
and
high-performance backend services . You will own systems end-to-end—from
responsive, interactive web applications
to
distributed microservices —ensuring that every experience is performant, secure, and delightful. You will collaborate closely with design, product, and AI teams to create seamless, intelligent, and scalable customer journeys. data-driven, AI-first experiences . What You’ll Do
Architect and build
modern frontend applications
using React (or equivalent) with
micro-frontend architecture, design libraries, and reusable UI components . Build
customer-facing applications and digital assistants
with real-time personalization and contextual rendering. Design and develop
distributed microservices
that support high-concurrency, low-latency conversational experiences. Build
complex backend architectures
to power APIs, events, orchestration layers, and data pipelines. Implement event-driven systems, caching layers, and scalable API contracts. Optimize for performance, reliability, observability, and fault tolerance in production environments. What You Bring
6+ years of full stack engineering experience
with proven expertise in both frontend and backend development. Experience architecting
micro-frontends , reusable UI libraries, and design systems for large-scale applications. Deep understanding of
distributed backend systems , concurrency patterns, and performance tuning. Proficiency in at least
two backend languages
(e.g., Node.js, Go, Java) with hands-on experience in building scalable microservices. Experience integrating
AI/ML systems
or APIs (e.g., LLMs, RAG pipelines, NLP/NLU services) into production systems. Familiarity with
DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling , and modern cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure). Strong product sense and ability to collaborate across design, product, and AI/ML teams to deliver user-centric features. Experience in
B2B SaaS or regulated industries
(fintech preferred) is a plus. Familiarity with
AI-driven personalization, conversation flows, or agent orchestration

Base compensation is expected to be between $165,000 - $190,000. Exact compensation may be based on skills and location with equity included.
