Craig Technologies has an opening for a Network Engineer supporting the work on the Submarine Command, Control, Communication Computers, Cyber-Defense & Intelligence contract supporting Systems Engineering & Intelligence. This work is located onsite in Manassas, Virginia and has a normal 9-10 work schedule. Ability to obtain a secret clearance is a requirement for this position. Responsibilities
Network Integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards Experience analyzing VLANs, spanning-tree, routing (static and dynamically implemented protocols), ACLs, IP addressing and subnetting Knowledge of packet analysis tools such as Wireshark or Sniffers Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 3 + years of professional experience Strong communication skills and experience, verbal and written Must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance, must be a U.S. Citizen Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience with 3+ years of professional experience Active or ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship Desired Skills
Network development and integration experience for a variety of network protocol standards including TCP/IP, HSRP/VRRP, RIP, OSPF, BGP, RSTP (802.1w), MSTP (802.1s), DHCP, 802.1q tagging, multicast, PAgP or LACP (EtherChannel), QoS and Active-Active technologies (vPC and IRF) Experience architecting and building complex supercomputing networks Strong network troubleshooting and problem identification Familiarity with Cisco and Arista network device vendors Familiarity with 1/10/25/40/100 Gig protocols, serial and satellite links, cable standards, and optical specifications/requirements Familiarity with Linux OS, SNMP, Python and Bash is a plus Knowledge of TCP/UDP protocol packet format desirable Knowledge of Software Defined Networking using OVS is a plus Knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus Knowledge of VxLAN is a plus Craig Technologies is an EEO Employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetics, or any other non-job-related protected status.
