Shipping and Receiving
The Shipping/Receiving & packing associate will assist in packaging parts, labeling, shipping, loading and unloading trucks, and inventory of warehouse. Schedule 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (overtime when needed) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assure the correct product code/labels are on the box
Place boxes on the proper skid with the correct number of cases per layer and per skid Tape boxes neatly and securely Use appropriate packing materials to ensure product is not damaged during transit
Maintains a clean and organized work environment. This includes keeping parts off of the floor at all times. Receive, unload, and place incoming material in proper locations Operate a forklift and pallet jack to move and load materials and skids Loading and unloading tractor trailers Move parts between buildings with forklift
Must understand the legal load limits on trucks
Assist with information for counts, weights, and measurements for outgoing shipments. Assists in verifying Bill of Lading and outgoing shipments, and label correctly. Review pick tickets and accurately gather product from shelves to ship, and provide information to the logistics coordinator. Conduct physical inventory
Assist with conducting cycle counts as required and reporting and discrepancies to warehouse manager
Communication and teamwork within and outside the department Other duties as assigned Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye and attention to detail Excellent communication skills Excellent multi-tasker in a fast pace environment Works well under pressure Capability of working from verbal instructions Engage in a team environment to resolve issues Education and Experience: High School Diploma / GED 2-3 years working hands-on with picking, packaging and shipping inventory in an automated (MRP/ERP) environment.
