Headmaster Introduction Ascent Classical Academies seeks a Headmaster to lead a new Classical Charter School. The role requires an entrepreneur’s spirit to plan, organize, market, and staff a successful school opening, with a foundation in Western and American traditions, Great Books, liberal arts education, and a vibrant school culture rooted in joy, mutual respect, and engagement. The Headmaster position requires at least a bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree or PhD is preferred. Significant experience in classical liberal arts education and school leadership, along with 5+ years of classroom experience in a classical setting, is expected. Candidates must have strong organizational and management skills and pass a background check as required by state law. Position Specifics
The Headmaster for a new school entails an entrepreneurial leadership role with extensive planning, organizing, marketing, and staffing responsibilities to open a school successfully. The leader should guide the campus with a solid understanding of Western and American tradition and the associated Great Books and thinkers, establishing and guiding the school’s cultural vision. Being the founding leader is challenging and rewarding. Benefits
