Brookdale Salem is hiring an Executive Director to join their team. A Senior Living Community specializing in Assisted Living.

As Executive Director at Brookdale, you will lead the overall operation of the community to provide the highest quality of care and services for residents. You will proactively build relationships with residents, families, and vendors to coordinate exceptional personalized care. You will mentor and engage associates, collaborate with community leadership, and drive resident and family satisfaction. You will have opportunities for professional development and programs focused on your health and wellbeing.

Tuition reimbursement

Base pay range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience. Full-time associates are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the 401(k) program.

Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum of two years in operational leadership experience required. Additional years of experience can substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements Must have a valid administrator license in states where required. Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for business use.

Management/Decision Making Uses analytic skills and understanding of the organization to handle problems and issues. Demonstrates leadership to direct and evaluate resident care, marketing, food service, housekeeping, and maintenance. Supervises according to Company policies and applicable laws.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of the organization, industry, and functional disciplines.

Extensive technical understanding gained through experience.

Familiarity with Microsoft software preferred.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Ability to delegate based on skills, roles, and interests.

Good judgment and strong problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

Lead daily operations of the community, including associate relations, resident and resident family engagement, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.

Create and execute the business plan; develop the team to deliver high-quality resident experiences and care; grow revenue and profitability with district partnership. Work with sales to drive occupancy results.

Build an inclusive community culture and ensure appropriate staffing levels in accordance with legal requirements.

Recruit, develop, and retain high-quality associates; support training and development; review promotions and disciplinary actions to ensure consistency.

Improve resident satisfaction and retention; maintain positive resident relations; address opportunities for improvement with district support; leverage resident satisfaction to grow occupancy.

Collaborate with clinical leadership for care and services appropriate to residents; oversee admissions, healthcare management, and resident documentation to ensure quality and compliance.

Maintain financial acumen to meet or exceed budgeted revenue and profitability; plan to address expenses or revenue shortfalls; explore revenue enhancements and cost controls in line with policies and regulations.

Drive sales and marketing in partnership with the community sales leader to meet occupancy and revenue targets; develop new business, generate leads, and build relationships.

Build relationships with local influencers and participate in community affairs aligned with the Company mission; represent the community to government bodies, professional organizations, and community groups.

Ensure facilities meet Company standards through preventive maintenance oversight and regular inspections.

Enforce Company policies and maintain licenses in accordance with legal requirements.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
