Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to be located fully on site in Raynham, MA. Responsibilities
Lead and direct projects within the Knee Value Stream (Knees VS) Portfolio at the Raynham site, including capacity and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives (internal and external). Ensure projects are delivered cost-effectively, manufacturable, and meet original scope. Coordinate resource deployment across multiple priorities with Plant Management and the Global VS team; follow portfolio processes. Provide timely, accurate central reporting on project activities to sponsors and senior management. Identify, budget, and report all capital spend; ensure financial governance for senior stakeholders. Collaborate with E2E Engineering Delivery Lead and functions to analyze investment requirements, timing, market potential, and ROI for new product developments and the VS project pipeline. Improve site development capabilities to support future growth and project delivery to business goals. Implement technologies and optimized process steps to ensure stable product delivery. Build and execute a pipeline of Knee Technical Projects to meet/exceed targets in Quality, Service, Growth, and Value per the Knee PSR. Ensure new products and processes are designed for manufacture, with complete process validations and proper documentation prior to startup/launch. Organizational & Talent Development
Build and develop the Project Delivery team through recruitment and development of engineering talent, focusing on excellence in execution. Develop career progression paths and development plans for each team member. Set team and individual goals, measure performance, and ensure delivery of exceptional results to internal and external customers. Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Leadership
Exhibit from-the-front leadership in solving difficult problems; bring structure, clarity, and technical excellence to complex situations. Strong influencing and communication skills (written and oral). Excellent financial acumen to support managing budgets for capital and expense costs. Decision making for technical and management issues; strong planning and organizing skills. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Degree in Engineering or a related field. Minimum 5 years of management experience in a senior Operations/Engineering/Program Management role within a multinational organization. Experience developing and implementing Product Lifecycle Strategies for Life Sciences; global portfolio and people management experience. Proficiency with industry standards, investigations/technical assessments, compliance, and validation. Experience in a Global Matrixed Management role within Life Sciences. Knowledgeable in GMP/regulations, process improvement, capacity planning, statistics, NPI, quality, and validation requirements (process, cleaning, packaging). Fluency in English. Other
