About The Role We are seeking an experienced, client-facing Vice President to join our Software & Technology Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team. As a senior member of the practice, you will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent engagements, leading deal teams, and serving as a key point of contact for clients and target company executives. In particular, you will play a critical role in supporting private equity clients investing in founder-led and growth-stage software and technology businesses. You will bring both technical excellence and a strong commercial mindset—delivering quality insights while helping to strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for growth. This is a high‑impact role suited for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels in managing cross-functional teams, and is passionate about building long-term value through M&A support. What You\'ll Do Lead multiple buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements simultaneously, with a focus on software and technology businesses, working with private equity and corporate clients. Oversee engagement execution, ensuring clarity, quality, and consistency from kickoff to final deliverables. Act as the day-to-day client lead—building trusted relationships and ensuring communication is proactive, clear, and aligned with client objectives. Review and validate key deal analyses, including quality of earnings, net working capital, debt/debt-like items, and other transaction adjustments. Perform and review revenue adjustments to align with GAAP, and calculate key software metrics including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), retention, and churn. Guide deal teams in structuring databooks, financial models, and written reports; perform final reviews and ensure deliverables meet firm and client standards. Participate in early scoping, proposal development, and engagement structuring alongside firm leadership. Support business development by building relationships with key deal professionals and identifying opportunities for follow-on work. Mentor and train team members; contribute to recruiting, onboarding, and internal training initiatives. Ideally, You Have 5 years of experience in financial due diligence (Transaction Services) or a combination of audit and transaction advisory work. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred. Strong understanding of financial statements, M&A transaction mechanics, and valuation principles. Direct experience working with software and technology companies—including analyzing SaaS/recurring revenue models and calculating related metrics—or a strong interest in building deep expertise in this sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to client audiences. Proven leadership in managing complex projects and small teams with precision and responsiveness. Proficiency with Excel and working with large, complex datasets. Compensation And Benefits This position has an expected annual base salary range of $120,000 – $175,000. Final compensation will be based on experience, education, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
