Overview
Our retail client is looking for a Sr. Marketing Manager with 8+ years experience in PR, brand marketing or purpose driven marketing; this role is for a hands-on contractor to temporarily support and cover responsibilities typically held by Manager level roles across the Earned Media, and Purpose-driven marketing functions. This role is critical in ensuring continuity of leadership, execution, and cross-functional collaboration during a transitional period. Key Responsibilities
Earned & Purpose Channels Drive execution for earned media and purpose initiatives and strategic channel planning and execution Lead brand storytelling and product-focused Public Relations (PR) efforts. Support AVP as day-to-day contact for PR Agency and Purpose teams. Oversee and support execution of charity partnerships, fundraising efforts, and integration across site, email, retail, loyalty program, and social. Guide execution and reporting for Clients signature Purpose program. Guide strategic planning. Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with internal stakeholders including PD, Merchants, Store Operations, and agency partners. Support annual planning and strategic visioning across channels. Drive internal education and immersion efforts related to Earned and Purpose-led programs. Ensure alignment and integration of brand acts and charitable merchandise across platforms. Qualifications/Requirements
8+ years of experience in brand marketing, PR, or purpose-driven initiatives at a management level. Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and agency relationships. Strong communication, organizational, executional and strategic planning skills. Experience with influencer programming. Bachelor's degree required MS Office (PowerPoint and Excel) (basic level) Preferred Skills/Knowledge
Advanced degree or certifications. Agile and proactive mindset with a passion for storytelling and purpose. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity. Collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
