Position Summary One Day Installation & Repairs, Inc. is seeking a skilled Operating Engineer - Electrician to perform electrical maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting across various municipal and transit-related facilities, including an ongoing contract for air compressor maintenance with the Santa Clara VTA. The position involves both indoor and outdoor work across multiple locations throughout Santa Clara County, requiring adaptability and a strong electrical background.
Training will be provided
for the maintenance and repair of Champion Screw compressors.
Responsibilities
Perform electrical repairs and maintenance on various systems and equipment
Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for air compressors and related electrical components
Work across multiple sites to ensure a timely response to service needs
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
Maintain compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies
Collaborate with other tradespeople and site personnel to complete projects efficiently
Learn and utilize Procore software for all jobs
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Qualifications
Training and Experience Note: The required knowledge and abilities are attained through training and experience equivalent to high school graduation and at least three (3) years of experience in performing maintenance and electrical repairs
Valid CA General Electrician Certification ()
Experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably in municipal or transit environments
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and safety protocols
Ability to work independently and manage multiple job sites
Must be a member of
Operating Engineers Local 39
in good standing or willing to join upon hire.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be able to pass background checks as required by clients, depending on the sites being worked on.
Shift and Schedule
Overtime, Weekend Availability, holidays, travel required

$70.54/hr. based on experience
