Our Story
Founded in 2008, Hightower is a wealth management firm that provides investment, financial and retirement planning services to individuals, foundations and family offices, as well as 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. Hightower’s capital solutions, operational support services, size and scale empower its vibrant community of independent-minded wealth advisors to grow their businesses and help their clients achieve their financial vision. Based in Chicago with advisors across the U.S., we operate as a registered investment advisor (RIA).
Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with advisor teams to customize and implement growth-oriented marketing strategies within Hightower’s compliance standards.
Ensure that teams effectively utilize the resources provided by the Hightower marketing office, including central program strategies, approved vendors, software, pre-written content and marketing assets.
Collaborate with Advisor Engagement to support assigned advisor teams.
Educate advisor teams on marketing offerings such as content, lead generation tools, event support, marketing toolkits and assets, software, vendors, advisor cohorts, and marketing education opportunities.
Identify opportunities to tailor marketing campaigns and assets to each team’s brand and Unique Value Proposition (UVP).
Collaborate with advisor teams to create marketing calendars and promote accountability for their execution.
Review marketing outcomes and optimize activities; review reports on campaign success across teams and provide feedback to optimize program content.
Ensure teams have the tools and vendors needed to accomplish their marketing goals; provide feedback to Marketing Operations if gaps are identified.
Proactively advise and implement best practices for marketing channels (e.g., podcasts, email marketing, website, social media, events).
Maintain list hygiene and data management practices with AE and advisor teams; align target segments with campaigns and track marketing success.
Ensure proper campaign setup for tracking and reporting.
Train teams to self-service using approved marketing tools such as the marketing automation platform, Clear, and blogs.
Provide a help desk for assigned teams to troubleshoot issues with marketing tools and systems across cross-functional departments.
Assist with implementation for high-touch teams as needed.
Manage marketing-related ad hoc requests from assigned advisor teams.
Facilitate planning and support for advisor business events, ensuring teams follow processes.
Manage client and prospect corporate webinars as needed.
Ensure transparency and meet timelines, using Asana to project manage advisor initiatives.
Stay up to date with marketing best practices and strategies to provide strategic guidance to advisory businesses.
Manage marketing associate.
Qualifications
5+ years of proven experience in marketing and/or marketing operations
Experience implementing digital and traditional marketing strategies that support business goals
Working knowledge of common web analytics and measurement tools, including Google Analytics
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including competence as a creative writer
Organization and project management capabilities (Asana experience a plus)
Ability to manage the work of creative teams, including designers and web content specialists
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, business administration or a relevant field
Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and core marketing technology solutions (Hubspot experience a plus)
